Great Cd and Amazing play As a fan of the Addams Family movies for a while there happened the be a traveling Broadway play at my local theater and I had to go. I bought tickets for my Fiancee and I to go and we absolutely loved the play. The play focuses on Wednesday growing up (To Thursday 🙂 inside joke from the play) and falling in love which makes her question her dark style. music definitely grows on you I was admittedly underwhelmed by the music when I first saw this show on Broadway. There’s nothing that is terribly catchy right off the bat, and the songs are a lot less razzle-dazzle than many other showtunes. However, the music did grow on me after I heard it again. It’s one of those things where you appreciate it the more you listen.My favorite songs would have to be When You’re an Addams, Crazier Than You, and One Normal Night. Grows on you Attended the show after hearing good reviews from friends and reading “so-so” reviews from critics. How could you miss with a cast like this? Well, the cast is great, the costumes and set design are extraordinary, with some fine special effects and puppetry. Unfortunately, watching the show, the only impressive musical number is the opening (“When You’re an Addams”)(as appeared on the David Letterman show), with the other tunes unremarkable.
